Mobile Industrial Robots Appoints New President

MiR today announced that Kevin Dumas has been appointed as President, effective May 6. Dumas succeeds Jean-Pierre Hathout, who has led MiR for the past two years and is stepping into a new leadership role within the Teradyne Robotics group to become President of Universal Robots.

During Hathout’s tenure, MiR strengthened its global market position, expanded its product portfolio, and advanced its leadership in autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) innovation. His contributions have positioned MiR for continued success in delivering transformative solutions for customers around the world.

“I would like to thank Jean-Pierre for his leadership and the important impact he has made at MiR,” said Ujjwal Kumar, Group President, Teradyne Robotics. “As we look ahead, we are thrilled to welcome Kevin Dumas as the new President. Kevin’s deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and proven track record of driving growth make him ideally suited to lead MiR into its next phase of innovation and global expansion.”

Kevin Dumas has held multiple leadership roles during his 13-year career at Teradyne, including Business Unit General Manager and Product Marketing & Sales Director, and most recently served as Vice President of Product at MiR. He brings a unique combination of technical depth across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines and strategic business leadership, backed by a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

"I’m honored to be able to lead MiR at such a transformational time for the company and for the broader world of robotics,” said Dumas. “Our autonomous mobile robots are transforming how businesses handle logistics, and I look forward to working alongside our talented team to drive innovation, deliver outstanding value to our customers, and expand our impact globally."
